The Wedge is a self-contained, ground-floor en-suite bedroom located at the end of the Gower Peninsula. With its own private entrance, it offers a quiet, independent base with immediate access to local footpaths, three sandy beaches, and the South West Gower coastline.

The Space

Originally part of an old Gower cottage, we have renovated the space ourselves using a lot of reclaimed materials and driftwood gathered from the local beaches.

• Private access: Ground floor with independent entry so you can come and go as you please.

• Outdoor seating: A small table and chairs in the garden for morning coffee or breakfast (with blankets provided for cooler mornings).

• Facilities: Wooden flooring, built-in wooden wardrobes, an easy chair, a TV, and Wi-Fi.

• Food & Refreshments: We provide food in the room and fridge for your stay, along with a kettle and toaster.

• En-suite: Private shower room.

Location & Beaches

The cottage sits right on the footpath leading down to Mewslade Bay—one of the Gower’s best beaches. From here, you can walk on to further secluded coves and bays that are only accessible on foot, making them ideal for swimming and avoiding the crowds.

Practical Info

• Parking: Please park on the splay by the orange surfboard marked Mewslade Cottage.

• Surf hire: We often have surfboards and wetsuits available to hire. Drop us a message before booking to check what we have in.
